WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

Our Story

The journey started 2016, an opportunity to guide bike trips into Southern Botswana planted the seed. Guiding tours 2-3 times a year into this wonderful area. Covid put an end to the tours in 2020 – regrouping and concentrating on his adventure biking accessory business while the world reopened.  Using this opportunity Mark certified as an adventure guide and began working on Atlas Mototrek fuelled by his passion for Africa and his love of motorcycling.

The Team

Mark Hartley – Adv Motorcycle Guide

A restless spirit and an avid motorcycle rider, this combination has taken him through Europe, South East Asia, and a good chunk of Southern Africa.  Mark greatest pleasure is sharing his love of biking and the African bush with his guests. 

Catherine Soares – Logistics & support

The brains and coordination behind Atlas, Catherine brings a softness to the tours loved by our guests.  Our seasoned backup driver is also a budding biker and a very capable horse rider.
