Tonteldoos Adventure

A great weekend break away from the big smoke. Tonteldoos has established itself as a must visit area for Adventure riders, offering fantastic riding for adventurers of all levels. Our Trailbalzer tour is a great introduction to this little mecca in Mpumalanga, the route offers fantastic views and an abundance of gravel riding to satisfy your adventurous spirit. This weekend away captures the very essenence of adventure riding and promises good food, new friendships and many a memory to share around the fire.

Johannesburg - Tonteldoos

Meeting at Atlas Gear – we tuck into coffee and muffins, after introductions and rider briefing – we head out heading eastwards, peeling off the tar at the soonest oppurtunity.

A scenic route has been planned with a good mixture tar and gravel with some histroic sights on the way.
Just past the mid point we stop for lunch at the serene Loskop dam, rested and topped up we head onto our base for the weekend. The legendary Bushboys cottages and campsite.

Settling in for the evening, dinner will be served in the dining hall with a warm fire to fight off the evening chill. Meals Included (Dinner)

Tonteldoos - Sabie Loop

Greet the day with the cool morning air brushing against your face and a bountiful breakfast warming your belly. Next, we ride. The day’s route will take us through Lydenburg and then off the beaten track into the surrounding forestry and nature reserves. From Lydenburg it is predominantly gravel roads until we reach Sabie.

The route is rated as green and is suitable for riders fairly new to the off-road experience. We stop for lunch and fuel in the beautiful town of Sabie before making our way back over Long Tom pass and onto Bushboys

Tonteldoos - Sabie Loop

The final day begins with a full breakfast and an invitation to unleash your wild side on Joe’s Track. The daredevils among you can even time your laps.

Afterwards, we pack our memories and set our sights back on Johannesburg. The 280km journey home is a mix of smooth tar and easy going gravel roads. The perfect way to wind down our weekend escape.
